The Alliant Energy
Foundation recently
announced a Rebuilding Our Communities Grant Program to
provide funds to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations in Alliant
Energy communities that were directly affected by recent flooding.
Unrestricted grants of $5000, $10,000, $15,000, or $20,000 are
available for increased operating and other expenses. Application
forms are available online at www.alliantenergy.com/foundation or
by calling (608) 458-4483.

Humanities Iowa will make $30,000 available
in emergency relief funds to humanities organizations affected by recent flooding.

Persons affected by the June 2008 floods may
find resources at the 2008 Flood Resource Center (www.flood2008.iowa.gov/)
web site. Those who wish to donate financial or other assistance will also find
ways to offer help.

The Iowa Arts Council is offering up
to $500 in emergency assistance to nonprofit Iowa Arts Organizations or Arts
Organizations that are entities of local or county government. Click

Community Foundations in Cedar Rapids,
Des Moines, Northeast Iowa, and Johnson County have opened Flood Relief Funds
to help nonprofit organizations assist individuals and families recover from
flood losses. The Iowa Council of Foundations has also prepared
a list of recovery resources. Americorps and Vista volunteer
opportunities may still be available in areas affected by the June 2008 floods.
